My fortnite keeps crashing every time it hits the 'logging in' screen

I have an old dell optiplex 7020 with a 4th gen intel i3 ( i think its an i3 4660??? but im not sure. I don't have a GPU. 

 

every time i load up fortnite when i get to the logging in screen the game just closes and the epic games launcher just opens.

 

i've tried the verifying files thing and reinstalling the game fully. i think it might be to do with fortnite requiring directx 11 but i have no idea! please help if you can!
