are stock coolers that bad?

they are fine but ugly

The question is if 90° 24/7 is bad for cpu's. 
 

 

I'm using the stock cooler on an i7 3770k and it's horribly loud in my opinion.

Tweak the fan profile obviously. I managed to overclock a 2600K quite easily to 4.3GHz with the stock cooler I couldn't even hear.

I use the stock cooler on i3 and i set it to automatic(lowest setting but speeds up when the temp reaches 50°C) on my motherboard and it doesn't spin on idle and when playing movies.

I put my stock cooler that came with my CPU on my moms Lenovo Pentium. G645 

Its much quieter and does well. 

5800X3D - RTX 4070 - 2K @ 165Hz
