Got a new cpu, Ryzen 5700x. I have a ASRock b450m pro 4 cb OEM bored. The old cpu was a Ryzen 2700x. I couldn't find a single bios that my motherboard would read except one. I installed the bios update with the new cpu and ran it for about two days before I got the new cpu. Got new cpu yesterday and installed it and everything worked fine. Got the upgrade for windows 11 and that ran fine. Started playing Apex and after about an hour and half my system just started restarting by itself and now I can't even get it to bring up anything to the monitor.

Elaborate a bit more on it "restarting". Maybe boot looping?

Also, what is the full system specs?

Could be instability, IDK. You could try resetting the bios or updating to the next bios version, then see what happens

I only have one possible bios update. The pc is originally from cyberpower and their bios update only goes to 2.0. I found one for 8.1, but its a beta version and its literally the only other one from ASRock.

I gave up and put the old cpu back in and its all work besides not letting me go back to windows ten and perform a factory reset. Just gonna put up the 5700x till I get a new mobo

That sucks, maybe the oem pre-built stuff does not get same attention as everything else. If you started from zen+ on a 400 series board from back then you would expect a good number of BIOS updates, but maybe it's different because it was built for OEM PC's.

You would think. Cyberpower only has 2 bios updates. The last one being 2.0. Can't remember if I saw the post on here or some other forum but I got a link to asrocks OEM support site, they had one update(the one I installed) being 8.01. Its a beta version. I looked for a earlier version, their was literally one version for each specific OEM board. I have been using this with the 2700x since two days before the new cpu. I was able to install windows 11 after the BIOS update but decided to wait till I got the new CPU. After installing the new cpu and making sure temps were good underload I went ahead and factory reset with the windows 11 upgrade. Factory reset was completed, new drivers for everything was installed. Downloaded apex from steam and went to bed after it had downloaded and I played for a solid hour before going to bed to make sure it was ok. Woke up this morning and played for an hour and said issues started to occur. I feel like its either a mobo, or a power supply issue. But everywhere I've read it's said I should be fine with the PSU. Sending back the cpu for a new one just to make sure it wasn't one of the 3% duds.
