Need help identifying an RTX 2080 8GB

Disco_Geezus

Hello LTT forums,

I just picked up a used RTX 2080 8GB for a pretty decent deal at $230, but I'm not exactly sure who makes it. The page claims it's Lenovo, which does make a twin-fan 2080 Super, but the card I found has a blower-style fan, and nowhere in their product support site does it show up, even when searching by the serial number. I'm having trouble finding any info on the card at all, in fact. Is it an OEM-only release pulled from a prebuilt tower of some sort?

Definitely looks like an OEM model by Lenovo 🙂  There are a few listings for the same card with Lenovo in the description.

Blower style OEM cards from PreBuilts were quite common back in the 1000/2000 series range.

That's true, my buddy's Micro ATX prebuilt has a very boring-looking blower GTX 960 in it on a right-angle PCIe riser.

Just thought I'd update and close out this thread, after some further digging my guess is it's from a Lenovo Legion T730, a small form factor prebuilt with a built-in carrying handle. Cheers to buying used parts, **** you RTX 40 series. Thanks for your reply!
