Budget (including currency): 1.8k AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming + Engineering Degree

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/gctXMV

Monitor: Acer Nitro ED270UP2 WQHD FreeSync 170Hz 27in Curved Monitor ($199)

Keyboard (Mechanical) was gonna be around $119 (EPOTH80) - Will probably change to a cheaper one (idk which one yet)

Mouse was gonna be around $48 (Logitech G G305 Lightspeed)- May try and find a cheaper one

Haven't found a mouse pad yet but maybe around $30

I'm getting close to purchasing this build after a lot of advice from you guys however, with peripherals (mouse, keyboard, mouse pad) + shipping not shown in the pc part picker I've estimated this build is gonna be around 1.9k+. I'm a bit desperate and ask if anyone has any suggestions to help minimise the cost of my build so it is at least closer to 1.8k without compromising the performance of the build too much.

I looked for alternatives like used type markets for the GPU but couldn't find any - If anyone knows a reliable/trustworthy one that works in australia pls let me know.

Any suggestions about nice but budget type peripherals that would fit the build would also be greatly appreciated.

Well, you are already holding back the 12600 with that DDR4 memory, so if you really need all those expensive peripherals, you might wanna step down to AM4. Something like this will leave you 150 AUD for keyboard + mouse + pad:

But sacrificing budget from the system to get fancy keyboard and mouse is a cardinal sin for me. I would always go for the cheapest possible mouse+kb+pad combo for around $20 and put all of the rest towards the system and more specifically - the GPU. If this was my money, i would've build it like that:

And as said above, get the cheapest possible mouse+kb+pad combo possible or even go as far as borrow from someone till i buy myself some.

DDR4 3200 is every bit as fast as DDR5 6000 in regards to gaming.

I mean there does seem to be a performance diff but its not major and absolutely can be closed by just tuning the rams and running at 4000-4200 whatever gear 1 maxes out at and closing the diff via tuning isnt neccesary anyways since the performance diff isnt that much to begin with

Unless something changed that's not the case.  The Alder Lake performs almost identically with DDR4 and DDR5.  Raptor Lake is where the DDR5 benefit appears.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
