Anyway to fix my 7yr old 2tb hdd that's showing caution in crystaldiskinfo?

do a screenshot of SMART from CDI of every SSD/HDD you have, and see if the raw value of C7 increases in a weak.

So much effort trying to rescue a 7 year old SEAGATE drive..... consider yourself lucky it made it that long. Hopefully you have backup. If your data and time have any value, move on to a good SSD. 

 

You are putting lipstick on a pig that is already planning to go to the bacon factory.

It's actually pretty common to see drives live longer than 7 years. I have a bunch of seagate drives that are older than this, and they all work perfectly. I have an old wd caviar lite from 1993, that still works. I have 3 drives in my system right now that are dated from 2010, 2013, and 2014.

All drives die eventually, even ssds. And ssds are still a lot more unproven than hdds are in terms of longevity. 

I have 2 older HDD as well... but those don't show errors and are just a local storage in living room PCs. I'm not saying to dispose of good HDD. But OP got big sign from the Universe...

 

I don't have longevity data and if we talk about Hitachi, I'd say there is merit to HDD having a long life. But OP has Seagate...

 

Just not worth it to take chances. IMHO. Like if my car battery is 5 years old and it shows a single hesitation to start my car, it will get replaced even if in theory it may have one more year left with special pampering.

nothing expect my 2tb drive show up start / stop count error. I mean raw value of all other drives is fine expect this one. So i guess it's something to do with hdd itself as i even changed the sata port on mobo iirc

Please pull your data off you drive and replace it. Drives can die at any time. I have just had a new 20TB Exos drive die on me and it is not even 6 months old. Backup and replace.

then it's OK.  The start / stop count is not error, it's literally the count of how many times the HDD started working...

I see no reason, not to use this HDD for older games, or even secondary backup.  No indication of ongoing problems with it. 
but again, do you have a screenshot of the surface latency test result?

 

Just observe the raw values of the 05, BB, C5, C6, C7 attributes (check every month or so), if they increase post here again (anything from these four, beside C7 would be worrying).

why would it need ss? i already told you it's fine according to scans, i didn't bother much. As i said most are excellent (sectors), very few good and nothing elsewhere down on that list.
