CPU and ram upgrade?

Currently rocking a 11700k and 32gb of DDR4 3000mhz ram.

For 1440p.

I also have a 3080Ti.

I'm guessing the best choice is to wait for the next gen GPUs? After the Super line.

Desktop: 7800x3d @ stock, 64gb ddr4 @ 6000, 3080Ti, x670 Asus Strix

Laptop: Dell G3 15 - i7-8750h @ stock, 16gb ddr4 @ 2666, 1050Ti

If your current system isn't performing as well as you would like at 1440p and you have the money to upgrade, Yes! Upgrade 😄
the 3080ti is still a very strong card, it would pair nicely with a more powerful CPU.

Seems like I'm going through with the mobo, CPU and ram upgrades. It's cheaper than I anticipated.

Need to find a suitable motherboard, ASUS I guess.

Not sure if the processor is going to be a i7 or i9.

Looking at the 14700k and some DDR5 ram. Not sure what mhz?

14700k is more than plenty for gaming. No reason to go with the 14900k for gaming only.

DDR5 6000CL30 or 6200mhz CL30 is the sweetspot.

The ROG Maximus Hero boards are for ROG enthusiasts and is not a recommended board for anyone thats looking for a normal gaming system.

Is this good ram?
Also for the processor I have a 850W Gold EVGA power supply, do I need to upgrade that too?

Might get the i9
