Worth CF my 7970?

I already have a 7970, but even if I sold all I could get is a GTX 780 which isn't much of an upgrade. There are 2 problems. I only have a Corsair CX 750W Bronze PSU so I am not sure if that can handle 2 OC 7970 5 fans and an OC 4670k. I also only have a single PCIE 16x slot. So I would be running in a 16x and 4x config. Would the setup work okay given these 2 bottlenecks?

The second spot is wired for 8x so that is not an issue. Your PSU will handle it. It's up to you really if you want to but you want have any issues if you decide to

It would work but I wouldn't recommend it unless you got the second 7970 for really cheap or really need the extra power. 

I'd suggest waiting for a better single gpu in the future if that's the case.

But the 780 only gives me like a 25 - 30 % performance increase, not really worth finding a seller (Never sold anything on ebay) and spending like 300 on top of that for 30 percent. I would rather just spend 350 and get 50-60 increase and in the games that don't support it just use one.

You are literally the first person who I have ever come across say that it will run in dual 8x. Everyone else says most motherboards would do that with the exception of mine.

No. The 2nd blue slot runs off the chipset instead of the CPU so it runs at x4.

Anyways pcie express 2.0 x4 is enough for 1080p.

Dude.. It's a 16 slot wired for 4x which means its source is from the chipset and not the CPU. It would only work for crossfire but not SLI.
