Wireless Pritner block from internet

I was hoping to have my HP inject connected to my wireless network for local printing, but block it form accessing the internet so it doesn't update firmware or send information to HP.

I have a HP7002 and my network router is a Nighthawk mesh system MR60.

Any advice?

I have tried Access Control, it sounded like it would have network access but no internet access.  Unfortunately, when access control is used the printer cannot be found on the network.

Firewall on the router. Block the MAC address to WAN.

I do not think this device has a customizable firewall.

Set a static address on the printer, but leave Default Gateway blank.

I can set a static IP for the printer, but it won't let me assign anything beyond the IP address.  Useless interface.

On the printer itself, or in your router?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

wouldn't this prevent LAN traffic?

I was in the router settings.  Missed the printer part.

I tried blocked services on the router.  I was able to block all servers for 192.168.1.5 which is my printer.  I can still access the printer but it has no internet connection so no firmware updates.
