I use Microsoft Edge and though it's not the greatest of browsers, I've gotten used to it because of the rewards I can earn while using it. I've redeemed a few rewards, but I mostly redeem Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. However, due to recent changes, it has been a lot more difficult for me to earn the maximum number of points per day. And I feel like this change to Microsoft Rewards will only decrease the number of users on Edge and push people to use other search engines like Google. "Evolving" is the term they're using for Microsoft Rewards, but if anything, I think it's devolving into a great big pile of s%$^!

As someone who has used Edge exclusively since its introduction alongside Windows 10, I couldn't care less about the rewards program. Sure it's always nice to get rewarded for doing something you were already going to do (like credit card cashback), but I don't think there are a lot of people who are deliberately using Edge just for rewards in the grand scheme of things.

Simple things like syncing favourites and passwords with Microsoft/Office 365 accounts are better selling points for Edge than rewards.

Eh, it's the usual

"Promo price because we're still unpopular, after we're popular enough (partly due to users helping us advertise) we use standard price"

Basically, a bait.

It can be considered Evolving, for Microsoft side. Evolving so as not to lose too much money over the feature.

Thinking such a feature gonna stay with the same trouble:reward ratio forever is folly.
