Quick Help With Laptop GPU..

I'm looking for something that will actually play games on my sisters laptop. Some LEGO games, just not too harshly demanding steam games. I came across a laptop with a 6800. Anybody know id it;s OK, or too outdated?

 

Whats the minim spec for Laptop GPUs I should be looking at?

6800? you mean the AMD A10 6800 APU? they are pretty meh for gaming on a laptop you might get away with the sims or something

 

Something like a 640m would be ok for lower end games, but personally I would recommend higher, Laptop GPUs are generally a model down, like my 7970m, is a 7850 desktop card, an 880m is like a desktop 770

Any modern GPU will be fine.

I have a laptop with a Radeon 4570m, it plays all games at 480p res, if that can play games, i am sure those can.

Thats very old. I mean it will play games but it lacks power compared to modern laptops.

 

Any reason you asking about a GPU like that? How much is the laptop you want to buy? budget?

Nobody recommend that, only I have recommended anything and I said a 640m. If you read my post I was explaning that a laptop series card is always a generation and model behind, so 880m = gtx 770...

 

The OP seems to be looking at a laptop and nvidia 6800, a card that came out in 2004
