CPU-light blinking, new MB and CPU.

Installed a new MB and cpu(asus TUF z790 ddr5 v2, intel-14700k).

But all that happens when i turn it on is the fans ramp up and down randomly and a red light marked "cpu" keeps flashing. No output to monitors.

Help?

 

Edit:

I should also add that i have tested the MB with a different CPU(13600k) same result.

And when i tested the CPU on an other MB, 2 of the RAM-slots broke...

Can you link to the motherboard spec/model please? Just want to check the BIOS is compatible with 14th gen (especially as I don't think Z790 TUF has flashback). If you have a TUF Pro then it shouldn't be a problem.

Is there any confirmation on the box that it supports 14th gen?

 

The earliest BIOS Asus recommend is 1205, which was released in June.

Nope, but i did test it with a 13600k, no difference.

And tested the cpu in another MB, 2RAM-slots are not working anymore...

Usually that's either a cooler mount problem (e.g. uneven, too much/too little pressure), or bent pins. It can also just be an issue with seating the ram properly.
