How good is the COOLER MASTER V SERIES V550 SFX GOLD? How does it compare to the CORSAIR TX550M 2021 GOLD?

if both are 550w and the machine is well under that consumption then neither one would have a noticeable difference over the other. they both are decent enough

I though that with the included SFX-to-ATX bracket, this PSU can be installed in any case?

This is correct... the bracket would let you install the SFX PSU in any case that supports an ATX PSU.

 

On a different note, I wouldn't buy an SFX PSU if you plan to use it in an ATX case. The larger PSUs have significantly better air flow and run cooler, and ATX PSUs are usually cheaper for the same watts and efficiency.

A SFX PSU has much shorter cables than an ATX PSU. To short for using it in an mATX or ATX case.
