1x6 pin to 2x6+2 pin for 230W TDP GPU

I have a Cooler Master V850 80 plus gold power supply which comes with multiple 1x6pin to 2x6+2 daisy chain cables, I have purchased a 6700XT which requires 2x8pin cables. Will the PSU cables provide sufficient power to the graphics card and run stably because I have read online that 6 pin cables generate only 65-75W. Plus I plan to use 2 separate daisy chain cables, plugging only 1 end of each daisy chain cable into the GPU to avoid fire hazards.

PSU details : https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/power-supplies/v-series/v850/

An 8 pin can power 150W, and the board itself 75W, you're good

thanks for the quick reply my friend, but my main concern is the end of the power connector that goes into the PSU is only 6 pin, can it still power 150w?

It's not an  issue, it's  designed like this, specs are for 150W anyway and  it's a good unit (Tier A at psucultists for the  CM Gold)

Edit : really  any 850W PSU which is not a noname fire hazard will be  ok for  a 6700XT

three 12v wires and 3 ground wires. Nothing wrong here if the wires to the first connector are 16AWG.

Tomshardware actually lists the cable as 18AWG to the first 6+2 then 16AWG to the daisy chained one.

A sensible and robust design in keeping with a high end psu , Definately nothing to worry about.

CPU : Ryzen 7 7800X3D @ -18mv all core except -13mv on Core 5 because its a pig.

CPU Cooler : Deepcool AK620 Zero Dark

Mobo : MSI B650M-A Wifi MATX

Ram : 32GB (2X16GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHZ CL34

GPU : Reference Design RX7900XT sold by Saphire running at 1050MV undervolt and +15% PL (355w)

Storage : 1TB WD SN770 + 2TB Samsung 970 Evo

PSU : Corsair HX750w Platinum

Case : Asus Prime AP201 All Mesh MATX

Case Fans : Arctic p12's everywhere i can fit them in , 7 In total.

Monitor : LG 27GP850-B.BEK 1440p Nano IPS 180Hz

You're confusing OP's PSU with a completely different one. The V850 V2 you were confusing it with uses 8 pin connectors for both CPU and PCIe cables, while the V850 uses 6 pin connectors for the PCIe cables. Which is the entire point of this topic.

The V850 uses all 18 AWG wires, as you'd expect from a Seasonic. 16 AWG is also thicker than 18 AWG, so all 18 AWG wires is the typical corner cutting you get from Seasonic.

:)
