B450M Steel Legend BIOS Question

My Asrock B450M Steel Legend is on version 2.90 and I have to update it to able to use my new 5700x CPU, I looked in the site (https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/b450m steel legend/#BIOS1) and from version 2.90 to 4.60 it doesn't say anything about having to update to a previous BIOS version before updating so could I just update it straight from 2.90 to 4.60?

 

Also is the 4.60 version the best one or another one? Maybe one the betas or a different version considering I won't be using a 40 series GPU?

Yes you can jump to 4.60 from 2.90. I'm not sure what you have in there now, but does say not recommended for Ryzen 1000 and 2000 series. I upgraded to 4.60 with a 3800X and haven't really noticed any problems.

Oh it's gonna be fine then, I have a 3600 right now and I will update the BIOS before the 5700x arrives. Ty
