Can you install custom apk in google play games beta? like in bluestacks

yes you can

 

Here is how

 

Step 1: Go to Google Play Game settings and scroll down until you see the app version

Step 2: Click about 5 - 10 times on the version 

Now you are in Android settings

Step 3: Go to apps settings

Step 4: Open Chrome and download the apk

I tried following these steps, but when I tried opening the apk, I got a popup which said, "The game attempted to redirect you to another application. This feature is not yet supported. Would you like to return to the game?" No matter whether I select Yes or No, it sends me back to the Google Play Games Beta settings screen. Am I doing something wrong, or did Google block this ability?
