Hey guys so I recently bought some more ram and an m.2 SSD, but after I installed them the pc just didn't run ok Mozilla tabs kept crashing and games kept crashing every day I blue screened once or twice. I removed the ram I bought and so far it seems a lot more stable is it faulty ram or are you just not supposed to them, I had 2 sticks of ddr5 8gb and I added 2 more sticks of ddr5 16gb, but it just doesn't seem stable was I not supposed to do that? or is the ram just faulty... I'm using KINGSTON FURY Beast 2x8 and I bought the same ram, just 2x16. Any thoughts on this? Should I just put the 2x16 sticks in and forget the 2x8 ones? Thanks for any replies.

I suggest you create a memtest usb stick, turn off your PC, reinstall the ram, boot into the memtest usb stick and run a test.

You should be able to find memtest in the "useful software" thread 馃檪

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won鈥檛 use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won鈥檛 (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don鈥檛 need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don鈥檛 break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn鈥檛 bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

I ran the test after first pas, I got 21 errors... is this normal, should I do all 4 passes it takes quite a long time.

Any errors at all is a fail. Some of your RAM is most likely faulty. Return it.

Should I try just the 2x8 GB sticks that I know are working? Or should I just return the sticks I bought, I just got them last week, so I think it's not going to be a problem with them exchanging them.

You could try running the test with only the 2x8GBs (just to check it is the 2x16GB sticks that are faulty). But I think we've found our culprit judging by the fact the PC became stable after you took them out. 馃檪

He's already bought the new RAM. It is the new RAM that failed. 馃檪

I've told him to return it, after checking it wasn't the old ran that failed.
