Wait for OLED?

Hi guys,

I know there are going to be new releases in 2024 with 32inch OLED monitors. I was thinking of waiting for the but I don't know how much they would cost or an estimate. If it was around 500 - 800. then I would wait but if it was over 800 and near 1500 then I'm out.

 

Does anyone know the price or an estimate to these upcoming OLED monitors?

I am waiting for the 32" OLED 4K 144Hz+ monitor from ASUS said to release some time next year. Yes, It's likely it'll start around $1500 as well like the rest of the big OLEDS since the previous models cost from $1500-$3000.

This kind of price is impossible, no need to wait.

If you want an OLED at that price, the only thing that might come close would be a LG OLED TV either a C3 42" as soon as the new ones launch or a c2 now. But you will only get them for 800 if you are super lucky!

I game quite close so the 42in would be... Quite something .

Ye heard great things about the c2/c3.

I was hoping for a miracle or something..

For that budget you could buy one of the 27" 1440p 240Hz OLED's. The 32" 4K ones are going to be at least $1000, probably closer to $1500.

If you have a big desk and can just push it further back, having a TV as a monitor isn't that bad. And for games, where it is too big, you can always just create a custom resolution to simulate having an ultra wide.

Yeah no at those prices, we're only seeing some lower spec OLED monitors on sales with such prices. New 4K 240Hz no way. I plan to get one. So start saving, it will be a while before they come.

ye saving up is the way to go. I'm gonna buy a normal IPS 4K 32in for now and change it up 5 - 7 years later... Thanks for helping out!!

Fair point man. My room small as hell. I can nearly touch both my walls at the same time.... Just gonna wait it out like I always have been doing. Thanks man!!

thanks man. already have a 27in monitor its great but I see a 32in as the optimal and best size for me. Gonna wait it out for a long time!! Thanks though man!!

27” 1440p is actually the best size to me as well as it can scale Windows 100% and not too burden to GPU.

 

32” wise in 1440p is not enough sharp and clear. 32” in 4K cannot scale 100% as everything look too small and 4K also burden to GPU.
