Hello! Im going to build a new pc.
Budget is around 3000 dollar, thats 30 000kr (Norwegian krone) roughly.
Parts:

- CPU: Intel Core i9 13900KS 6GHz Socket 1700

- Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi

- AIO: Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance 360

- GPU: RTX 3090 FE

- Ram: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB Black DDR5 6200MHz 2x16GB (Total of 64gb ram)

- PSU: Corsair HX1200 V2 1200W

- Fans: Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM chromax.black.swap 120mm (I am considering swaping the AIO fans out with theese and have a push pull config, but dont know if I will benefit from that, if not I will have 4 of them instead)

- Case: Corsair 5000x RGB

The case and GPU i already have, same with storage.

- Will the AIO be enough for that cpu? If not what wil be?

- Will I be better off swaping the motherboard for the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO instead? What will i benefit from doing so, or is there anything else i should use?

- I will be playing on 4K 60hz to begin with but im wanting to upgrade to 4K 144hz, but I doubt that will be an issue
- Games: GTA, Cod (mw3, warzone etc) Forza horizon 5, Star citizen, CS2. Those are the hardest game to run I play on a regular.

- I will also be editing in Lightroom and Photoshop, and with the new AI features I decided to future proof and went with 64gb, but will i be better off with higher ram speeds?

- I will not be overclocking. All stock.

- I will buy this next year in april sometime i hope, so there might be something new then!

Is there something here that is obviously not going to work or something I should switch out? If all you are going to say is "go amd" i dont want to hear it 😛 Im team blue. And i dont care for RGB, had nothing but trouble with that, mostly because corsair suck xD But thats a topic for another day 😄

Thanks for any input!

ps: Im in norway so excuse any spelling errors 😄

Most of this is just excess spending for a gaming PC.  Also, I can't really give you any advice now, as prices will be way different in April.  Why are you waiting so long?

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Well then come back and post this in April. Prices change weekly. Parts availability changes monthly and new parts altogether are released quarterly. Sill two big yearly quarters ahead of you, know knows, maybe super series cards by Nvidia are released, AMD/Intel refresh or updates and whatnot.

As for the already selected parts I'd recommend researching AMD's 3D chips.

MAIN: Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Kraken X62 Rev 2 - STRIX X470-I - 3600MHz 32GB Kingston Fury - 250GB 970 Evo boot - 2x 500GB 860 Evo - 1TB P3 - 4TB HDD - RX6800 - Antec HCG Platinum - Manta - Silent Wings Pro 4's enjoyer

SetupZowie XL2740 27.0" 240hz - Roccat Burt Pro OG Corsair K70 browns - PC38X - Mackie CR5X's Mackie CR8S-XBT

Current build on PCPartPicker

HTPC: Ryzen 7 2700X - BeQuiet! Shadow Rock 3 - STRIX X570-F - 3200MHz 32GB Corsair Dominator - 250GB Exceria boot - 500GB SN730 - 1TB Sandisk 3D - 4TB HDD - Limited Edition Vega 64 - Corsair RM750x 80+ Gold - North - Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal - BeQuiet! Light Wings

Come back in april when you buy it. Prices change co stantly any recommendations will be invalid.

What I can say a crapton of money on extra overkill stuff that wont really do much extra or anything at all for games.

Some general advice

a 3090 is NOT a 4k 144hz card a 4090.literally barely is. Save yourself money and hassle and just get a nice 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitor.

DO NOT get a 13900ks its literally uncoolable get a 7800x3d its literally better. If intel get a 13600k since you can cool it it will basically game the same.

Your board does NOTHING for performance and asus has been shoddy the last little while quality wise. Save yourself a heap of money and get a lower priced board a b760 foes easily especially since you wont be overclocking. Also since I recommend a amd switch a b650m ds3h handles a 7800x3d like a champ and is CHEAP. Whilst being REALLY good quality.

Buy a 64gb kit. DO NOT mix high speed ddr5. For amd a 6000mhz cl32 kit or lower is recommended. 6000mhz is currently thr best frequency

Dont need a 1200w psu a rm850 is fine.

Get arctic p series fans. Literally just as good and you are paying for brand name here.

Your case has bad airflow withball the savings change it out if you like the internals a 5000d is right there

a 3080ti card will play 4k 120hz no problem on some pretty hard games on high settings... So how a 4090 card is barerly able to I dont know how can say that xD

13900ks is coolable.

I never said i was going to mix up high speed ddr5. i will get 4 sticks, thats are the same brand, speed and size...

cpu and gpu alone will be around 600w. ID rather have more than enough than a little more than enough. Less heat, less strain, just better.

I literally said if you are going to say buy amd i dont need to hear it 😛 I dont want it 😄

But it doesn't. Haven't you looked at many 4000 series reviews? The 3090 is not having a good time at high settings.

Ok then get a 13600k doesn't even hold back a 4090. A 13900ks is simply not coolable unless you custom loop it or start severly undervolting it as it simply runs extremely hot.

That is still mixing. A kit is tested in factory out of an array of dimms to work togheter properly. 2 packets are never guaranteed.

Yeah so ask again in april. Also for like under half this price you can have a badass gaming pc.

This is all you really need. Unless you need those 600fps in csgo instead of 550fps there is NO reason to get a 13900k(s).

Aio in top as intake btw.

Not a problem with saving up, just make sure you don't make the mistake of asking for a PC config now, save up for 6 months and then after 6 months buy a 6 months out of date PC. People have made that mistake in the past and it has bit them hard.

I'd say a 1440p 120fps beast will cost around 1700eur so good to save up for around that. If current trend continues, ready yourself for an AMD system.

Then spend a lot less.  If you are in a situation where you are saving money for this, it would be extremely foolish to overspend on so many components that won’t do anything for you.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
