Which monitor should i choose.

B1ueTera

Hi.
I have looked at both the Dell S3422DWG and the ASUS VG34VQL1B.
Not sure which one to choose. If anyone have other suggestions/recommendations around the price of 500 euro in Europe.
There is not really any specific specs i'm looking at. Other then i'm not looking for OLED probably also out of the price range. I mostly play casual games and watch content also do productivity every so often.

System:
CPU: 5800X3D

GPU: RTX 4070

to be able to properly recommend a monitor we need to know what it will be plugged into and what it will be used to if you could provide that ill definitely be able to recommend something.

Do you have a limited budget? Also, if you're not in a hurry, I would advise you to at least wait a couple of months till CES. Alienware will have a successor to their flagship AW3423DW, and ASUS will have an entire new line-up of QD-OLEDs at 4k and standard UW 3440x1440, all boasting 200Hz+ refresh rates.

Just my two cents. I would go for the former, with regards to your question (superior warranty and QC)

I have always viewed it from a safe distance, knowing I don't belong; it doesn't include me, and it never has. no matter how you care to define it, I do not identify with the local group. Planet, species, race, nation, state, religion, party, union, club, association, neighborhood improvement committee; I have no interest in any of it. I love and treasure individuals as I meet them, I loathe and despise the groups they identify with and belong to.” ― George Carlin

Yes i have a limited budget. The above also says the price range as in price around those two displays. It looks like the Alienware one will probably be out of my price range.

With all due respect, nobody can accurately assess your particular situation with such vague replies. At best, it would be a baseless assumption. The more specifics, the better. You couldn't even be bothered to specify your use case. Dell/AW will always offer the best customer service, warranty coverage, and quality control. The latter panel has terrible QC/failure rates.

it'd probably be alot more helpful if u just outright said the budget and specs that you are looking for.

instead i had to look up both models just to see what it is.

For that price range, 1440p uw,  the dell's about the best option.

if ultrawide is a priority then there isn't much choice in that price range, if it's 16:9 then most of the popular mid-range monitors have good color coverage.

this one is the best deal atm

if not then there's the m27q-p and the g274qpf-qd
