Probably in the wrong section but I'm not sure where to post this.

I have a Dell optiplex 5080 tower set up as a media server for our DVD/Blu-ray collection and camera system. The PC only has a display port but I would like to be able to connect it to the TV for 4k display and the DP to HDMI cables I see don't support 4k.

There is a port inside the PC for a HDMI output but I can't be certain the connectors I've seen would work for this system or if it would support 4k playback.

Is there something simple I can do to support 4k video or should I just find a cheap graphics card that supports HDMI?

You can use a Chromecast 4k instead.

DispalyPort to HDMI adapters that support 4k 60hz exist.

The adapter that connects to the motherboard and gives you an HDMI port is Dell part number Y1XDH, but you could probably find a low power single slot GPU for the price those are going for.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.
