AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
ASRock Z590 OC formula
64GBs Patriot Memory 3600 C18 Series DDR4
EVGA 1300W G2 power supply
2X SPCC M.2  PCIe SSD 4TB

Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1 TB ATA Device

NVMe Intel SSDPEKNW010T8 1 TB

At first I bought the 7900xtx and tried to install it and had a i7 10700k in my motherboard did some digging and found that it did not support PCIe Gen4. So I just upgraded my CPU to the i9 11900KF being that it did support the PCIe Gen4. Am having the same out come as before when I power on the PC the XFX on the 7900xtx lights up for just a second and the fans twitch and nothing happens have tried resting the card a few times tried every PCIe slot in the motherboard have tried all the power cables in different sequences. I have tried booting the pc with just the 7900xtx and then tried with the 6800xt the 6800xt works no matter what in every single slot the 7900xtx does not seem to do anything in any slot my Bios is up to date on the Bios firmware. I am at a lose at this point should just work but am out of things I can try anyone that can see something I don't please help.

Make sure you use 2 seperate cables and use both sides of the connectors on the PSU like so, also if you got multiple displays only connect one. Clear CMOS on the back of the computer using the clear cmos button or remove CMOS battery (while PSU is off) for a couple of mins before inserting the new card :

So to make sure i getting this you have the red and green zone have one cable in each zone or have all cables in one zone ? also 7900xtx has 3 8pin connectors

plugin the 6800XT, run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), at some point you can select if you want the pc to shut down to install a new card > install 7900xtx and install latest drivers.

Do you have enough space to plugin both cards? First the 6800XT then boot up. Then insert the 7900XTX, still with monitor connected to the 6800XT. See if it's recognized in device manager.

Yes I have done this as well on all configurations have had the 6800xt in the first and the last slot works in both while the 7900xtx is in the other open slot my system does not detect it at all.

I just tried this as well does not seem to be showing  up still am starting to think I was sent a bad card. I have check on PC part picker and everything should be compatible as fare as I can see. But when putting the 10700KF in the configuration on there site it says nothing about the 10700KF not supporting PCIe Gen4 so do not know how reliable that site really is at this point.

7900xtx supports gen 3 as well, so nothing to do with that. If it works with 6800XT it should work with the 7900xtx as well. So if it isn't detected. Yes return that one and try another.

I ordered a new Power supply the one is my system is very old got it back in 2013 or 2014 something like that. May have something to do with it is the only thing I can think could be causing this problem at this point. only thing that does not make is the power supply works just fine with my 6800xt. I know the 7900xtx has a higher power draw but would think if there was a problem with the power supply it would become noticeable on my current setup. Am at a total lose at this point.

So I replaced the 10 year old EVGA 1300w G2 power supply with a EVGA 1300w GT and there is no Change at all in my problem my card and my friends card still do not show up on my system both 7900xtx are good at work but will not detect on my system the 6800xt works great in ever PCIe 16x slot on the board but 7900xtx will not work in any of them. am using the brand new cables that came with the new power supply all the VGA power cables work have tried them all on the 6800xt. this is kind of insane have never in my life had a problem like this with a pc. Have built 20+ PCs for my self and friends.
