Samsung Galaxy W will bring a headset-enabled seven-incher soon

Samsung's smartphones are getting larger and larger, even six inch is not enough for them. PocketNow reported, a new 7-inch mid-range phone is soon to be released from Samsung.

This 7-inch smartphone (or tablet) is called Galaxy W, codenamed " SM-T2558". It maybe a variant of the Galaxy Mega 2. It will have a mid-range spec. 720p screen, quad core processor clocked at 1.2Ghz, 1.5GB of ram, 8 megapixel camera on the back, with a 2 megapixel front facing camera, and a micro-sd card slot for storage expansion.

Nope, that's a tablet.

We have to draw the line somewhere and I say above ~5" is a phablet, above ~6" is a tablet (also depends on the size of the device itself, not just the screen).

A lot of people could probably replace their smartphones with this tablet though. At worst you could just get a bluetooth headset and use that to make calls.

7" and change is my total hand size including my longest finger and I'm like 6'3" so I guess that it's nice of Samsung to develop a phone specifically for professional basketball players cause I'm pretty sure nobody else could use it comfortably as a phone.

That takes the term phablet to a new level.

Yay, other mid range device from samsung, masters of saturating the market with crummy devices in a ridiculously big range of SKUs.

7" for a mobile phone? A struggle to put in pockets, you look like an idiot holding it up to your face and one handed usability is all but nonexistent. How do you comfortably hold it up to your face with one hand for a long phone call?

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a GTX 1080, just a single 1080, where my glorious PC once stood....

For that is all I need, For the Emperor of Man, Jen-Hsun Huang, protects. We march for Nvidia, and we shall know no fear!
