will a ryzen 7 7800x3d + 4060 ti combo give me really good fps or is it bad for competitive fps cpu based games (csgo, valorant, etc)

hello im a noob and I'm building my first pc and was wondering if a ryzen 7 7800x3d + 4060 ti combo would be bad for competitive gaming. I mainly play CSGO and Valorant which are more cpu based and occasionally gpu based games but not often.

if that combo is bad what would be the best combo for a cpu based game like csgo and valorant that would get me good fps!!!

NOTE- MY BUDGET IS AROUND 1300-1400 MAYBE A LITTLE MORE???

this is pretty much the build I had in mind (tell me if I should change anything help is wanted!!!)

you didnt put your parts list.

7800x3D will do just fine, its VERY overkill for a 4060ti, its pretty much for 4080/4090 or 7900XT/7900XTX. Getting a 7600x would save you money and you could get a better GPU and better performance. Just depends on how much you save.

It is somewhat unbalanced, but maybe it makes sense for your use case. What resolution do you play at?

Your list is blank I'm afraid.

I play at 1920x1080 with all low settings for maximum fps and occasionally play 1280x960 as well

Dont use a Kraken AIO, they are awful for the money. Other then that besides just a single nothing seems off.

Did you only want that GPU because its the Spiderverse edition?

nah i just got the gpu cause it was the cheapest at micro center LOL and anything above the 4060ti was a little to much $$$ for my budget
Also what AIO would you recommend?

I see. Your use case is unusual, but for a competitive esports gamer, the 7800X3D is right up there as you can see in TPU's results here for CS:GO and 720p.

You might want to check the memory too, usually with the X3D it doesn't matter because of their huge cache, but for you then it might.

what case would you recommend that's good for airflow etc?

I don't know anything about the H5 Flow.

I usually spec:

- Phanteks G300A (3 fan) for a lower-end gaming build.

- Lian Li 216 for a midrange gaming build.

- Phanteks P600S or Lian Li Lancool III for a high-end gaming build.

They come with enough fans for your spec, so no need to buy more.

Cases that seem to be popular right now: Fractal Pop, North and Torrent.

do you think this aio would be fine instead of the other one? like would it cool better or worse?

It’s not an aio 😅. But aio is mostly just aesthetic and lower noise, they offer little to negative performance benefit over air. They will be more expensive at the bang for the buck end of the spectrum.

btw the peerless assassin will cool better than the hyper 212 evo due to its dual tower(aka that it looks like 2 hyper 212 put together) but both will be just fine for a 7800x3d

basically if you prefer the hyper 212 evo, it will cool your cpu completely fine
