Ryzen 7 7800x3d with 1070 bottleneck

JosB

Im wondering if the bottleneck would be terrible because i really need a new cpu and new ram but the gpu i want is not in my budget now so if i combine the 1070 gtx with ryzen 7 7800x3d can i play games like fivem and hogwarts legacy on this combo?

If the 7800X3D doesn't bottleneck a 4090 it definitely won't bottleneck a 1070

But I wouldn't pair a 7800X3D with a 1070 as it's quite unbalanced (the 7800X3D's too good for the 1070)

Is it playable for 3-4 months for the games i play. Or should i just wait until i can get the gpu to?

Is it playable with the 1070 now? The 7800X3D can easily draw out the max a 1070 can do.

Yes it definitely is. What gpu are you planning to upgrade to and what's your budget for the upgrade?

i'd go for the 4070 if your concern is power consumption but if not get the 7800 xt. You could also get the 7900 xt
