BIOS - Manufacturer progarmming mode is in unlock mode

This past week, I had a BIOS update on my HP Pavilion computer in which video output no longer worked as a result. Even with the removal of the video card, the system did not display out. I took the desktop computer to a techician. After a very expensive (close to $200 repair), I now have a video output. The BIOS was reset. Now I have a message at start up stating "Manufacturer programming mode is in unlocked mode" Should I be concerned about this message?!

Probably not. Did you use just "some" technician, not HP certified one? It sounds like they needed to disable something to get things going.

For future reference, don't fix if its not broken. BIOS updates are one sure way to brick hardware if 1) you aren't quite sure how to do it, 2) you are doing it on device which it generally isn't done by end-user (laptops, prebuilts etc.)

The BIOS update causes the video output to stop. The update came with Windows 11 update. Even after removing the graphics card, the onboard hdmi cable did not work. I visited a computer technician in order to resolve the issue. It was an odd issue. Should I worry about the "Manufacturer programming mode is in unlocked mode"?!
