I am building a new PC and I am just wondering if the MSI B550M Pro VDH Wi-Fi has a inbuilt TPM 2.0 chip?

I just finished reading the owners manual for that board and the answer to your question is NO.  It does not come with a TPM preinstalled.  It does have a socket for a TPM but it doesn't come with it.  Check out page 35 of the owner's manual if you want to check for yourself.

Take care and good luck.

On most systems, the TPM is built into the CPU, not the motherboard. You can use a 3rd party TPM with the appropriate daughterboard, but usually the firmware TPM is plenty for what most people need it to do (I.E. store bitlocker keys or just be able to install Windows 11).

TPM has been implemented in firmware for the better part of a decade now, no module is necessary.

I don't even know why they still support modules.  The only benefit I could see is if you can transfer the module from one motherboard to another, but given each manufacturer uses their own module, you can't unless its an identical motherboard.
