I am having an issue with my GPU not functioning properly. I bought new parts off of Amazon and put it together properly. Double checked everything and made sure all was snug fitted. When I powered it on everything turned on properly, but the GPU fans would spin up and then shut off; the VGA and boot light were on on the motherboard and then turned off after a few sec. When I reset it, it then booted into Windows. I checked to see if all the hardware was being detected and all was fine but the GPU wouldnt show up in the device manager. In “Display Adapters” it just said “Microsoft Basic Display Adapter”. I could feel the GPU getting warm so I believe it’s getting ample power from the PSU. I took another GPU and installed it and it had the same outcome as well; it wouldn’t show up in Display Adapters. Then I put my GPU into another PC and it showed up fine. I swapped cables out with each other, and took out my cable extensions but same issue. Is there a problem with my motherboard? Please help I am lost!

No, connected to the motherboard

did you try installing the nvidia driver package?

i've seen basic gpu driver when it's not auto installing crap gpu drivers from windows update.

and you did run DDU first?

when one of my 1080ti's broke down it killed my board... it was basic display adapter then too if i don't recall it too wrong. ended up replacing board and gpu's then(since i had SLI).

yeah i would use DDU regardless as there might be incompatible settings that don't change when you just plug in a new card.
