how to get display through my motherboard HDMI port

Skamous

I recently got a new monitor and the HDMI ports on my 3060 are taken. I want to use the HDMI port on my motherboard and I remember hearing something about how you could extend your GPU display through the motherboard and was wondering if I could do that. I'm pretty sure my CPU doesn't have integrated graphics.

Just get a display port to HDMI adapter.

Or just connect the new monitor via DP, or is it old?

You'd be able to if your CPU had integrated graphics, but it indeed doesn't.

it's pretty old I just wanted this method to work because I have a DVI to HDMI cord already from my old setup. I was thinking about trying that cool DIY project where you peel off the old LCD screen and paste it on the side of the PC on the tempered glass. I know this is off-topic but do yall know if you need to be able to solder to do that project?
