Disable gpu fan for use in server

Hi i plan to add a 1650 to my home server and was wondering about the fan(s) should I disable them and let server airflow take care of it's cooling ?
And if I should should I just disable them ou unplug them ?

and if yes how ?

Why? Just let it run. It's not a server GPU so it's heatsink wasn't made for passive/server Airflow.

Depending on the model, the fan may stop automatically anyway. I wouldn't disable or unplug it, seems like an unnecessary risk if it starts using the GPU for some reason.

No!

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

Unless they are blowing into the GPU fans directly, and their spin direction is the opposite of the GC's, no.
