If im using an ssd in an old SATA port, like sata 2, will it affect the speed much? I'm moving titanfall over to a new SSD I just bought and was wondering if it would increase load times/slight amounts of fps or if I wont notice a difference from my old 7200 rpm HDD. Keep in mind that im using a core 2 quad, DDR2 RAM, and a 2008ish nvidia chipset.

I'm pretty sure it impacts the speed a lot, I'd advise against it (not sure how much it could bottleneck it though.). Why do you want to get Titanfall on your SSD? It'll only increase load times and you most likely will have to wait for others anyway. As for FPS, maybe like 1-2, but you won't see a big performance gain on the graphical side of things. If this were an MMo, you'd probably be talking about more of a difference though.

I love StarCraft

I'm usually the last one to load into the game, when I'm playing last titan standing sometimes it takes so long for me to load that I have to wait until the next round to spawn in because I took too long to load. I'm hoping this will fix that.

Yeah, then it should be a huge improvement. :P I'd look it up, I don't know exactly. I know 6Gbit connectors are obviously just the best though, but w/e the case, you'd still see an amazing improvement over your HDD. I find it weird that you load THIS slow though, I play all games (except Starcraft II and WildStar in the future) on my 1TB 7200RPM HDD and have no issues with loading. Have you tried formatting your disk just to see if that improves things? Might be a good idea anyway when installing a new disk.

SSD, regardless of sata speed, will speed up everything.
