It's a lack of investigation on your side before you purchase. You can find the cable configuration on the product page of the manufacturer of almost any PSU.

Some motherboards have different combinations of ports for cpu power, I’ve seen 4, 8, and 12, that’s why there is two different cables labeled cpu.

As far as pcie power goes, you should be fine to use that daisy chain cable and zip tie the second connection back. You could also get a custom cable from cable mod. I will see if there is a different cable from manufacturer you can buy and report back in a few moments via edit.

Edit: none that I can find, a Reddit post did say Cooler Madter only make daisy chain cables for that specific psu though. I’d go with cable mod or similar.

Thanks, I've looked at CableMod, and also SoloSleeves, down the road I'll consider it, but they are very expensive and shipping to my country costs a fortune.

Its complete BS that the only cable is daisy-chained. I can see the benefit if running two Graphics cards, but didn't think many people did that these days. I specifically went fully modular to avoid not-required crap in my case.

It really depends on your gpu though. I am running my 3070 that requires 2 8 pins off of a daisy chained cable. It would be nice if they supplied 1 or 2 of each. Or atleast made them so you could easily buy them.

Fair point, I haven't been looking at high-end cards, and the one I ordered is an 8-pin socket only.

It's completely stupid that they haven't added a single PCIe cable, an item that would cost them about 50 cents.

Not happy about this at all.

Should have researched to begin with , I don't think it's a big deal.

Psu makers try to account for more scenarios than the very small percentage of people that might get angry that they give you the option to run daisy chained cables.

For a aluminum enclosed case, it's not a big deal.

For a glass-sided case (which, uh, Cooler Master SELL!) intended to display the internals,  it's a stupid lack of forethought on their part, to include ONLY a daisy chained GPU cable that offers nothing but visual clutter for 50% of the market who don't require 16 pins of power.

Oh well, I hope their bean counters feel good about saving a few cents, because I wont be buying anything else from the brand

It's an extra 8 pin cable than can be cable tied onto the other cable for minimal difference in looks.

It's not the end of the world OP.

Could you be any more patronizing ?

I get it, I'm a stupid idiot for preferring a clean case. Thanks so much for your helpful and positive responses. How DARE I have an opinion and preference for my own computer.

But, don't feel the need to bother responding again, my bandwidth is overloaded with your wisdom and authority right now.

I'm not calling you stupid , If I was to call you stupid I would point out the lack of research when it came to purchasing the power supply.

Alas I'm not though so you have a nice day.
