Mice with a similar shape to the g305?

Helpful Tech Witch

I have a g305 that i got, planning to use it on my laptop, but i tried it for gaming and im really liking it over my g502, its much lighter and its nice
Is there any mouse with a similar shape to the g305? the main issues i have with it is the side buttons feel.. bad, theyre too small, and the AA battery makes it feal really heavy, so something lighter would be nice.

Any suggestions?

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Just throwing this out in case you want to do the same :

I use AAA battery + AAA to AA adapter for my G305. It's so much lighter 😂

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=AAA+to+AA&crid=3EBVWMZXCR4WL&sprefix=aaa+to+aa%2Caps%2C414&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

Fun fact, you can even buy adapters to go from 1 AA to C and D cells. Not sure why you would want to since you will absolutely destroy those AAs in no time... but you can do it.

Oh no, to C and D is too brutal. I try to keep it in the family (A)

Anyway, so far my chinese brand rechargeable batteries are fine.

No wonder it's nicer for gaming than a G502, it's shaped better and weighs a lot less.

Razer Orochi V2 has a similar shape.

I did that with an AAA Lithium battery. Got the mouse under 80g (like a G Pro X) and it was amazing.

The first one got double-clicking in a year, and got another as an RMA that lasted for 2+ years but then I switched to the G Pro X Superlight.

Yeah, I first used Lithium, but then I thought, if I'm gonna end up buying new batteries again, I'll just use rechargeable one.

Bought 6, puts 2 in the bag as contingency plan, cycle the rest. 😂

A single Varta AAA Lithium lasted me 3-4 months.

A friend of mine had to replace the alkaline he was using every 3 weeks.

Yeah, the only cheap enough Lithium in my country is alkaline.

To be really fair though, I am running the mouse in at least 500hz mode.

The adapter?

So far I've used it for like 3-4 months, it never did.

Anyway, I've thought of that possibility as well, and I already have a solution in mind if that ever happens.

Put a foam between the battery & inner shell of the adapter.

G305 is indeed great. I found G305 in my closet yesterday and immediately replaced my G303 Shroud mouse which I've had for half an year now. Before that I had GPX Superlight. G305 shape and weight is so much better. I've been trying to find mouses with similar shape, so far razer orochi v2, corsair katar pro, teevolution aria xd7, and gamebitions orbit seems most similar. I just want mouse with 4k polling rate next, so gotta wait..

Consider Panasonic (Sanyo) Eneloop Pro. It is rechargeable, black, and will last you a couple of months on a charge.
