Hello everyone,

So I have a 7600x, 32gb ddr5 5200 ram, rtx 4070, 850w gold plus and my motherboard is just a plain b650 gaming plus WiFi msi.

My mb debug lights keeps coming up when I start up with red cpu and orange dram. I have tried re sitting my cpu (no bent pins), 1 ram vs 2 ram (more on this later), unplugging everything that is essential, flashing bios, taking motherboard battery out for 5 minutes and that's about it as can't really swap anything to test.

Now the ram. When i have two sticks of ram my computer will either straight up wont load (red cpu and orange dram light) or will take a couple of minutes to load. If it doesn't load I just try unplugging the back leaving it for a min and just hoping it turns back on. When I have tried with 1 stick of ram my boot light sometimes shows with dim orange dram light and it won't boot to windows, unless I unplug from the back and wait a min then it will boot. Now otherwise it will have the same red cpu and orange dram light but will load considerably faster then 2 sticks of ram (haven't fully testes the reliability of one stick of ram). I have only tried the second slot and fourth slot admittingly.

With all this, when my computer does actually run when I play and game (I play mainly with my siblings multilayer games, raft, embr, borderlands, camping simulator, terraria, minecraft ect), if I alt tab out or close the game my computer with crash. I've tried task manager, cksoing the game with Windows and no matter what it crashes and a restart is needed. This happens with either one or two sticks ram.

I know this is all quiet long and i hope to have fully explained, but any Einsteins able to help?

Have you ran memtest to determine if the ram you have is bad? Hopefully the ram slot is not damaged.

What type of cooler do you have on the CPU?

No I shall run that after work. I have a be quiet fan cpu cooler. I've tried loosing it and tighten it slightly to see if it's maybe too tight on the memory cpres or if it just isn't contacting the pin but no luck

Do you remember temperatures were you seeing during game?

How long does any game run until it crashes?

Also what thermal paste are using?

It sounds like you're CPU is overheating though. I would switch out with a better air-cooler or a liquid cooler (if your computer case supports it.) Liquid coolers are recommended (but not required) for AMD 7xxx CPU's because of the high temperatures they generate. Few air coolers might be decent and I have read people using them, but may not be able to keep the temperatures down in the long run. I may be wrong though.
