So if this is in the wrong thread, recently remember I had an account and I'm desperately need help with an issue at the university I work at. Anyway the issues we are having are with some AppleTV we have in a couple classrooms for our instructors to use. In total there is only 4 of them, we have 1 4th generation, 2 3rd generation, and 1 2nd generation. On campus we recently finished an project that "upgraded" our internet/wifi. Now my problem comes in, once the upgrade was complete only one of the appletv's is able to airplay/screening mirror (the 4th generation) the other 3 did not, they are hard wired for internet. Any suggestions? I have tried factory reset and restoring and nothing is working. Are the 2nd generation and 3rd generation just too old at this point or is there something I'm not trying. The three that are not working are connecting to the internet. Any suggestions, I've been working on this all week, (when I can get into the room), and have not been getting anywhere on this.

I'm a pc guy..

First of all, you should really be approaching a local firm with networking issues in environments such as this. Troubleshooting on this kind of scale requires an experienced person on-site.

If they're in your area, try reaching out to Crosstalk Solutions, Lawrence Systems or Willie Howe.

Secondly, you can try to look into firewall rules that might be blocking LAN traffic. Say the Apple TVs that don't work properly are part of a particular restricted VLAN, clients from another VLAN might not be able to connect to them.

This sounds like the most likely cause. If there were wifi/network upgrades, it's likely the wifi network(s) are on VLAN's separate from the hardwired network. And I would also guess there's multiple wifi networks like 'guest/student', 'staff/professor', and then an 'internal' which would allow/block access to the local network. You might be able to contact the network installer for information on the setup or at least clarification on what wifi network the streaming device (ipad/iphone/whatever) should be connected to so it can talk to the AppleTV's.
