Then I'm afraid you just have to wait for the sata to usb adapter to arrive.

I have gotten a new SSD that's a 2.5 Sata and would like to transfer my Os and all of my files onto the new one but the problem is I don't have a usb to Sata 2.5 cable on me and to order one i would have to wait a week or two. thank you for any help

Do you have a laptop, or a desktop?

If it's a desktop, do you have additional SATA ports available on your motherboard?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Plug your new SSD into the motherboard using standard SATA data & power cable.
Download and install a cloning software.

After it's done cloning, restart, go into bios.

In bios change the Boot File from the one in old SSD to the one in new SSD.

Do you have a network share or external hdd? You can image the data to the other drive, then swap the drive, and put the image back on the new one.
