About to finally start my first PC. How can I lower my end price to 3.5K???

Go to solution Solved by brob,

The list is marked private so can't access it.

  1. Use a less expensive CPU cooling solution.
  2. Use less expensive memory.
  3. Use the H9 Flow case.
  4. Use an ATX 3.0 PSU.
  5. Phantek, Deepcool, and Arctic have decent and less expensive A-RGB fans.

Budget (including currency): $3.5K USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Apex, Fortnite, Spiderman, Elden Ring, FIFA

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I'm building my first every PC and this is the parts list I came up with after getting advice on here too. I want to lower it down to 3.5K instead of the 7. I do not want to change the MOBO, CPU, GPU, nor storage, (I already have a windows 11 access key) Can someone recommend me fans that are maybe cheaper and get me closer to 3.5k or perhaps better ram at a lower price that still has rgb?

(I already have a 1440p 240hz qhd monitor)

Dumb expensive AIO, bling fans, 6 terabytes of NVME storage. Are you even trying to reduce your price?

I first want to point out that for a first PC, this is exceptionally overkill. You don't need something this high end, something for half the price is probably a better option for a starter machine. If you really want to spend this amount of money though, this is more like what you should get:

It's ~$2800 rather than $3700 like your original, and performance will be identical.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
