Hello LTT!
New member here hoping to shed some light on my stupid GPU problem.

I have a 3080 asus TUF card that keeps blacking out. 0 to 2 times a day while gaming.
There seems to be nothing special to trigger it, it just happens.
Playing world of warcraft. Two monitors. I had a similar problem before with a 2080 TI that I thought overheated, but maybe its something else.

Maybe it draws too much power? Cables failing?
PSU is 850X which should be enough?  3700x cpu, some lights and 3 m2 disks.
I am using MOD-ONE (TITAN RIG, LLC) custom cable, extended through the original cables. two seperate cables to the PSU ( not using splitters ).

What can I do to trobleshoot more?

See attached File.txt for what happens. It does not look like it gets too hot.
Seems like system keeps running fine, but I dont have gpu on the motherboard and need to restart to regain monitors.

I just tried to check the cables are connected properly and replugget them into PSU.

Regards
Roger

the 3080's do power spike quite a bit so that might be the problem, what is the rest of the system?

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

I love Photography (Using a Canon 60D)

Love F1, my favourite team is Ferrari and my favourite driver is Leclerc

First off all, have you considered removing that piece of foam in the front of the case as it's blocking airflow to the GPU? 2nd. Try testing using HWinfo64 to see if you get a better reading, only GPU core temp, no memory or hotspot temp in GPU-Z?. 3rd. If you have disabled fast boot in bios, but not in Windows, then that might be the issue. I had quite a lot of issues with my 7900xt crashing with multiple displays and that was the cause.

Hello Everyone, I will try to answer all of you in one post:

Downloaded HWinfo and I can see multiple gpu sensors now, thanks(this is better than my powershell script!).
The txt file shows the main temp under load untill failure.
I reseated all the cables today I will try and log a gamenight today and see what happens.
I guess I can move the foam to the opposite side. Card was leaning down abit and since I assumed I have zero temp problems I have kept it there.
The nice colorful cables are not long enough on their own, thats why I have supplemented with white ones. Using only original cables will be the next test I guess.
My fast startup is disabled in Windows.

IdleNormalFanSpeed.xlsxTemptestCaseFanNormal.xlsx
Did some testing with diablo to speed up the process. Playing 1440 windowed ultra.
Might have a temp problem, also says yes on unreliable power sometimes? What else can you guys see out of the normal?
GPU turned off one time in testing. Similar temps when it happened.

I will try this tomorrow. See anything about the voltages that points in this direction?
