Yeah sounds like it - could try something like Fan Control of Speedfan (both are free afaik) and try a slightly less aggressive fan curve. As long as her temps aren't getting out of hand it should be fine.

I suppose another thing that could be contributing to noise is what it's placed on - could be that it's directly on the floor/desk and those are carrying the vibrations through the house a bit. Maybe some kind of rubber feet on the bottom if her case doesn't have them could help.

I'd try playing around with the fan curves though and see if her temps are stable enough at a slower speed.

Hello im having a problem with the fans in my fiancé's pc being exstremely loud when its under just a bit of load not sure why they are so loud like i can hear them on the other end of the house in a 84 square meter house

the gpu also sounded like a jet engine half of the time i fixed that with msi afterburner not sure why for some reason it kept going from 400 mem mhz to suddenly 7200 mem mhz in an instant and gpu 400 to think it was 2000 mhz

so now wanna ask do any of you have a software or an idea as to why the fan's in the pc are so loud if i had to take a guess i would think its the aio fans cause sounding like it comes from the top of the pc where the aio radiator sits

Laptop or not?

In how many years has not been dusted off?

Not English-speaking person, sorry, I'll make mistakes. If you're kind, maybe you'll be able to understand.

If you're really kind, you'll nicely point that out so I will learn more about write in good English.  🙂

There's a program called Fan Control that should be able to give you some indication of whether the fans are running at full speed, etc.

But I suppose the first question is - loud in what way? Like they're running full speed always? Whiny? Choppy (like a vibration)? That may help find the root cause. There are some physical things you can check - are they connected to PWM headers on the motherboard or molex from the PSU? The latter is pretty much just on or off, whereas the former allows control over the speed, so having them in a way you can lower the speed might help. Are any of the fins damaged? Having one missing fan blade can make an uneven choppy sound. If they more just whiny honestly it might just be age and worth replacing them.

also sound like they are going up and down in speed all the time

its def the rpm or curve or something of the sort cause the moment i downloaded the software it became quite when running at a lower % RPM

I was just going to say it sounds like a bad paste job, old dried up paste, or a bad mount.

It will help people in giving you a more informed answer if you include:

1. What Cooler you're using for the CPU. Yes it's an AIO, but there's various sizes of AIO, and not all AIO is good. Not to mention old AIO might lose enough liquid in them or like the pump went bad.

2. What PC case you're using. Since all kinds of fans or whatever is pretty much useless if the PC case is a closed off glorified oven box.

This is a good point. I bought a used PC with an AIO and the block went bad a year or so later. It was an Enermax, so hardly a surprise. I need to fix up that X79 PC... I could find something to with it it.

Well, if we're going by the release date of that AIO, which was 2014 iirc, it is now 9 years old.

for now though, try repasting.

You don't have to buy expensive paste, just try with like Arctic MX-4 or something. Just take care not to buy a counterfeit MX-4.

I know that with my AIO it wanted to flop over and leave a large thermal paste spot on anything it can (my arm got caught lol) so make sure to have something ready to wipe the underside of the AIO right away so it doesn't try and flop down and make you look like the silver surfer.
