So I recently found myself thinking, what do you all think the future holds for AMD? do you think they will just keep tumbling and go out of business? I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Considering their stock is at an all time low, i see them being bought out if they don't step their game up against intel.

I think that what they need to do is focus on gaming, and enthusiasts. Low end just isn't doing it for them, and there GPUs are really good.

What concerns me most is that they simple cant, that the best performance they can put out, is what we see. As well as the possible Intel-Nvidia merger, that would likley kill AMD completely; I just don't think they could compete.

Just thinking about it now, after seeing some of the things ASUS has shown off at CES, maybe a partnership would allow them to produce an end-to-end product that couldn't be beat.

I think that if AMD can stop going for "we have more cores than you" they can get better performance. They need to ditch the module based chip and go with actual cores, it'll likely be a better overall experience. If they can start out by just getting better performance, it'll be a step in the right direction, then they can work on die size and heat as well as power consumption. Just my opinion though

They need to make a New socket AMD3+ is old. screw this backwards compatiblity with their old CPU's, they need to branch off make something unique, something to com up to the competition and be like, hey, we still here. i was hoping for something at CES, i was happy bout the 8000 series, but i wanted more from the CPU side..

im an absolute AMD fanboy, no matter what people say about the company. but i just want them to be more aggressive.

they shud pour what money they have left, if any, and make something killer.
