lan or wifi

hi guys so i made a lan cable just to test but would having a lan cable from downstairs to my pc be faster than wifi?

It won't necessarily be faster, but it may have less latency and less interference. Cable is always better than Wifi (:

just made a tester cable, im going to lan i used to get 11/11 on wifi now i get 74/18!!!!!

Probably not too noticeable for internet itself, but definitely noticeable inside your own network. I.E, I rarely use wireless since I want the gigabit speeds to my NAS.

If you do any type of online gaming or stream HD movies, there is no question but to run the cable. If you only do web surfing and that type of stuff, running a cable I think is pointless.
