So guys, my boss finally agreed to digitalize our database and tasked me to find tablets that will suit the needs of our teams. We are working with AC and ventilation installations and repairs, so a lot of heavy tools are being dragged around. We need tablets that will be durable enough to be carried around and will survive an accidental drop/bump or being sprayed with refrigerant gas accidentally. I remember years ago, probably more than a decade there was a line of tablets that resembled the CAT shock and drop resistant phones. They had some padding all around and shock resistant glass in the front, but for the live of me i can't remember neither the model or the brand. Is there anything like that around now? It has to be android based and have internet connectivity. It will be exclusively used as a tablet, so no keyboard capability is required. Currently we are all accessing our database from our smartphones, but it's very difficult to write and view stuff, because it's not optimized for mobile use and won't be for quite some time yet, plus we all are bigger chaps with even bigger hands and fingers. As size goes - between 8 and 10 inches, 11 is the absolute maximum, because it won't fit into the holder of the cars.

Getac makes em: https://www.getac.com/us/products/tablets/. Dell and Acer seem to both have rugged options too, not sure if just Windows or they do have Androids as well though. Pretty much just googled "rugged tablet" and you'll get a bunch.
