Need help with screen flickering

While I was playing games today my screen started to flicker. The flickering is constant and doesn't happen randomly, I'd say it flickers every 1-2 ms. The thing that is really confusing me is that it is only when I'm playing games, and only games that are launched through steam. I tried games through other launchers, like epic games, and there was no flickering. I tried updating my gpu drivers through device manager but it said there were none, so then I installed the latest drivers from radeon directly. The flickering is still happening and I cannot find any solutions.

Do you have any overlay going from steam?

Do you have AMD free sync or Gsync enabled by accident? Sometimes those can make the display flicker.

i dont believe so, but how do i check that because i dont know 100% what you mean by that

i dont know, i didnt check since i assumed it wouldnt be that since it is only steam. though i will check that now

ok it was turned on and turning it off seemed to fix the problem, thanks!
