Nice, what was the issue?

Next try using the onboard graphics. See if you can get a display out from there.

Tried that and it it did not work.

The motherboard now is light ing orange indicating that there is a problem with the ram but I've switched ram position and it did not solve it.

I just finished building a new pc and after I went to plug in the power cable, only the motherboard lid up and no power went through to other parts.

I went through the cables multiple times and nothing helped. I really need some help.

I'm assuming it lit up after pressing the power button?

Why is there a knot of cables in the top left corner?

Take out the GPU, for sanity remove the PCI cables for it from the PSU if it's modular.
You don't have your PSU listed but maybe some of your pins aren't seated all the way for the CPU power either from the PSU or to the motherboard.
I see what looks like a loose cable where the CPU power supply goes to to the motherboard.

This may be an odd question, do you have power to the motherboard before you hit the power button on the PC?

My PSU is a SF850L from corshair

And I just took out the whole PSU unit and cables and replug them again to be sure but nothing so far. And no power to the motherboard.

Perhaps, do you have a 4 and a 6 instead of 4 and 8?

Actually looking at your picture, the locking tab for the 8 pin looks like it's on the left of center, I believe it should be to the right of center.
I checked the included cables, you should have a group of 6 on the right of the 8pin, then the set of 2 on the left of the 8.

You can also test that your power button for turning on the computer is working.

Unplug reset, power switches from the motherboard and take anything metal and just short the 2 pins for power on.
