As title says, all of my applications crash, whether its at launch or an hour in they will crash eventually. My computer doesnt restart, No BSOD or anything like that, im simply just brought back to the desktop. If the game is running off of engines like unreal or ubisofts, I will get a crash report, they are usually all different but pertain to memory in some way. either event viewer says fault code 0x000000005 or Remnant's shaders failed to decompress, or somehow a graphic driver goes missing 6 times in a row on csgo's launch. This problem has been going on for about 2 months now. In that time troubleshooting, I've basically rebuilt the entire pc. First I thought it was my PSU because this was the cheapest part of my build and I expected it to go the fastest. I replaced my ARESGAME 1000W GL with an NZXT 1200c, that made no change whatsoever. Then I thought well I guess it's my ram. So i put in my old kit, and thought I had noticed improvement only for my For Honor to crash within 30 minutes of playing. After this I was extremely frustrated and said F-it and pulled the trigger on some more ram overnight delivered. In the morning I tested the new kit, Games still kept crashing, and at this point I noticed even Apps like my steam and discord would crash and automatically recover themselves. I've monitored all temps, everything stays super cool. i've even troubleshot with my case wide open and a Room fan blowing directly into it, it's definitely not my temperatures. At this point in my troubleshooting I was using a 3070, and as I said I was getting event viewer errors saying I was missing a driver. Not to mention a lot of forums, were saying this is typical behavior of corrupted drivers. So I used ddu in safemode with no internet to uninstall all drivers. I then reinstalled the newest drivers for my 3070 didnt work, so I repeated and installed an older driver, still my games crashed. More research and I updated my bios, increased my paging file, turned of DEP, turned up my Tdr Delay. I was getting so frustrated I decided maybe my windows 11 is corrupted. So I use Diskpart to clean all my drives and reinstall windows to my nvme. Oh and btw throughout this whole time i was running /sfc scannow- DISM /scan-check-restore-health, chkdsk /f /r /x, none of this had any impact, even though /sfc scannow detected corruption a couple of times. I did nothing to fix my problem. After going back to Windows 10 and still having the problem. I decided this must be hardware related and started focusing completely on that. After my 6 different sticks of ram didnt work ( i tried every configuration imaginable 1,2,4 sticks xmp on/off decreasing stock timings. My next idea was my motherboard is acting up. At this point I just want this problem to be over so I head to amazon and buy a replacement board another z790 this time not the Auros Elite Ax but instead the Asus TUF z790. As you can guess, this did not fix it. So at this point I was on the verge of a mental breakdown, I get right back on amazon and buy a 6950xt to replace my 3070, hoping maybe it was a big driver corruption fiasco. Nope Just got the GPU today and IT DID NOT FIX IT. I am 99% sure this problem is memory related, most all of my error codes were related to memory in some way, and the only improvement/change to my system I see is when I change the ram configuration, but It still doesnt stop the crashing. The only two parts on my system I havent changed is my CPU which is a 13700 and my nvme boot drive. I really don't think it was my boot drive, because it's fairly new, and I've downloaded the games to multiple different drives and still have the same problem. That leaves me with the CPU the last part I havent just up and replaced. I have no Idea how this could of happened, it was my understanding that the majority of the time CPUS either work or they dont, I'm not sure how these issues could start showing up at random. My best theory is that I was running XMP 6000 Ram for a long time about 6 months. And the 13700 is only spec'd for 5600, could having ran my memory OC for too long, have degraded the IMC on my CPU?

Thank You if you made it this far. Any advice comments, questions, or ideas are very much appreciated, As mentioned this is driving me to absolute madness.

Test your ram, make a bootable usb stick with memtest and run it.

make sure you have pagefile, and it can expand to reasonable size if needed.

thank you for your advice. Unfortunately I've exhausted every possible Ram issue possible. 3 different brands at 3 different speeds. Ive run memtest86, testmem5, and OCCT. I believe the "corruption" indicated by fault code 0x00000005 may have been related to my nvme. I've just switched it and installed windows 11 on a new samsung 970, and I havent had the issue yet. Granted its only been less than an hour and I've only tried 2 games. But alas! theres hope once more in the republic.

Edit: I left out windows memory diagnostics, I tried that as well. No errors found on any of them in any configuration. very very weird circumstance I agree.

I had a similar problem of games crashing, especially under heavy load.  I bought a new gpu, thinking it was that, new monitor etc.  Anyways, after exhausting just about everything short of a new mobo and cpu I bought a new PSU.  That fixed it.  I feel like it's a long shot because PSU's are fairly good nowadays, but in the early 2010's I went through 3 PSU's in the span of a couple years, all corsair.  Switched to EVGA and that fixed my problem.  If your PSU is old, then that might be the issue, if not, well....
