questions on the new razer blade

hi i am building a really nice gaming desktop and i am getting rid of my big rog gaming laptop and i was looking at some smaller gaming laptops and wanted to know if the new razerblade had upgradable storage. because it does not really have alot of storage.

If I recall, I saw a video on Youtube from someone who opened a previous version of it up and was able to change the MSATA SSD out, and possibly the battery if you wanted to get a new one.

 

Only thing you can't upgrade like normal in a laptop is the RAM. The Blade's RAM is embedded in the motherboard.

The Razer apparently gets really hot. Like, really really hot on the lower portion of the hand rest. Not exactly ideal.

I doubt it, seeing as how thin it is. You can always go for an external hard drive. However, building a desktop is a much better option.

well im am definitely building a desktop. i live a fairly Mobile lifestyle and while i cant wait to build a desktop i am going to need something to replace my bigass 18 inch rog laptop. i was just exploring my options and i really like razer's products but the price with such a low amount of data storage. i was also looking at some msi laptops. but i really like the look of the new razerblade but the storage.

i would say for a laptop either get the new ailenware, or the asus jz wan show laptop. also the blade is ssd storade

My friend and I can confirm this. He owns it and was using it for about 3 hours when we touched the laptop and it almost hurt to feel. Should have come with better cooling or fans

I will thow in the unpopular opinion, the latest Alienware M14x is a cracking piece of machinery, very easily upgradeable and the metal casing is awesome too. 

 

The Asus and MSI laptops are really good but I find them a little ugly

If you want a gaming ultrabook, MSI and Gigabyte also make some. It's really up to you, but I'm personally not a fan of paying extra for the smaller size, while potentially running into heating issues. You could always go for a regular sized 15" laptop?
