CPU biased but with 7900XT (Good luck dealing with VCN dogshit capability in H.264, otherwise this is a good compromise for Star Citizen):

My Gaming Laptop (from 2018) finally gave up the ghost at LTX 2023 and I want a portable LAN gaming PC to take to the next LTX Whale Lan.

Budget (including currency): $1500 - $2000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Star Citizen, OBS, DaVinci Resolve, random FPS and retro games

Other detailsMini ITX case to fit in Pelican case for air travel

No or minimal RGB

1440P 120Hz

At least a 3080 tier GPU - AMD/Nvidia¯\_(ツ)_/¯

32GB RAM

x2 PCIE M.2 drives (OS and games drive)

I am CPU Agnostic at this point (though I have been an Intel-Boi forever), but no overclocking needed due to small form factor

Air or AIO cooling, I don't care

Monitors:  I would like to connect two monitors

Peripherals: I have two USB flight sticks, throttle, and pedals; Wired Gaming headset; Webcam

Thank you for your suggestions.

The pcpartpicker warning can be ignored. The GPU dimensions allow for the max CPU configuration.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Thank you for all the awesome suggestions.

With my current 12700K gaming machine, I have had to disable all the eCores to run SC. Do the Ryzen CPUs have eCores as well?

For those asking about size of case, I have been looking at Corsair 2000D Airflow and NZXT H1 for approximate sizes.

Pelican case would ideally be 1510 Carryon size just for the computer, then peripherals would go in standard Checked luggage.

No. Current Ryzen processors have a single type of core in the CPU.
