fps lock

hey i im haveing issue where my game is stuck at 60fps on gta 5 and project cars but on red dead i I'm running 180fps i got a 4070ti with ryzen 7 7800x3D with 32gm ddr5 ram at 5200 on a rog x670e my screen  is set two 165hz  in windows can any one help it like half may games are cap at 60 fps and rest do as they want

check your in game settings to see if fps is limited, or if vsync is on.

done all that vsync is off and there no limts on the fps from the game side of things i have also noted that i can get the fps unlock if i fun in windowed mode

Go into your GPU driver settings, then to 3D settings and make sure that refresh rate / fps is set to highest available.

Have you checked the monitors settings... Is the monitor itself set to be using its full FPS?

my monitors refresh rate is 165 it set in windows as that also orther games a go well past  the 60 fps
