Have finalised most of the parts for a new build but cant decide if I should go for the 6950XT or the RTX 4070 ti. The specs of the system will be

CPU-i7 13700K

Motherboard - MSI MPG Z790 carbon Wifi

Ram - 16x2 Corsair Dominator Platinum

Case - Corsair 7000D airflow

CPU cooler - MSI MAG Coreliquid 360R V2

6950xt is the play for longevity vram wise as 12gb aint much especially if you aim for 1440p or up.

But also by simply cutting the cost on this pc's parts that dont need to be stupid expensive you coupd even do a 7900xtx without a sweat.

Board can be halved in price you aint ocing a 13700k anyways, msi cooler sucks compared to other CHEAPER options, 7000d is expensive and massive nothing you have needs this at all. Better cases for same or less. Dominator platnums I guess for the looks? You wre paying extra but not too much.

Anyways by just opting for cheaper NOT WORSE actually equally good if not better options you can save like 400$ and jump to a 7900xtx or hell a 4080 (dont recommend) even without a sweat

Thank you for the suggestions. I am using the cabinet from my old build and as for the motherboard I wasn’t really sure if a B760 motherboard would be able to run the 13700K.

Budget is around 2500 dollar and yes it is mostly purely for gaming with mild video editing from time to time.

So nothing too intense? Got it, because 2 grand can get us AMD flagship for gaming. For just light video editing, openCL support for Adobe is decent enough, its when you get to fringe like Lumetri where you get suicidal thought. For coolers though whichever card you go, I HEAVILY ADVISE AGAINST CORELIQUID LINE. MSI have never added enough biocide in that thing and it guaranteed to clog within warranty period. Its unbearably bad.

That three pack of fans goes inside the top of that case where an AIO would normally go. Low profile RAM so that you don't impede that dual tower ARGB cooler.
