What do u guys think about the Ryzen 5 4500 and the Rx6500xt?

They’re a bad pair since the 4500 doesn’t have gen 4 so it will heavily bottleneck the 6500 xt. A better pair would be a 5500 and a 6600

The 4500 comes at half of the price of the 5500. Would it be a good pair with the rx6600?

Ye it would be fine but I’d try and get a used 3600 instead of it

nope, the 6600 series is 8 lanes.  (Which is still way better than the 4 lanes of the 6500 tho)

Whats the problem with the rx6500xt? And isnt the 4500 better? Isnt it just 2 years newer?

No the 4500 is actually worse. The 5500 can just about match the 3600

The 6500xt is a 4 PCIE lane laptop card.  it *needs* PCIE Gen4 to not be horribly crippled.

 

The 4500 is a rebadged 3500, with PCIE Gen 3.  it was designed for OEMs.  The 5000 series is way better.

But regardless of your CPU now:  You want a B550 or better chipset on your system.  

 

Don't limit yourself in the future with older chipsets.
